I just want to say that this is the first time I've done two blogs in two days, hells to the yeah looks like I'll actually stick with this one haha.
Alright, now let's get to the actual thing.
So my day started off with Writing & Rhetoric II at 9, which I have to say is my favorite class so far this semester. Maybe it's because it's an honors course, who knows, it's just that the vibe in there is totally different than my other classes. First, EVERYONE talks, EVERYONE is pretty intelligent and EVERYONE is cool with each other. That and it's a pretty small class (8 in total) so that probably adds to it. Also, the book we've been reading (titled The Fortune Cookie Chronicles) is possibly the best book for class I have read. For those that don't know, it's about a Chinese woman that first explores the backstory for the hundreds of lottery winners (when hundreds across the nation won by using their numbers from a fortune cookie) and ultimately turns into a cross cultural analysis of Chinese and American cultures. It's definitely a good read and I highly recommend it.
Since I have a 5 hour class gap on Mondays, I headed to the 623 Wabash building to hang out with some ASO peeps since the Cupcake Fundraiser was still going on. I ended up working it after some people couldn't make their shift, which I didn't mind.
While working the shift, much to my dismay, it started to fucking snow. Again. Like honestly? The Midwest just went through a huge ass blizzard, does it look like we need snow? I don't know what humanity has done to Mother Nature to deserve such a snow bitchslap, but honestly I'm tired of it. I'm ready for summer.
My next two classes for the day were College Math and Human Evolution, which both suck terribly. College Math sucks because I'm pretty sure at least half of my class failed math in high school. We are doing probably the most basic of all basic college math courses and there is still so much confusion. Also, it's pretty much a sauna in that classroom, actually, more like bikram yoga without the yoga.
Human Evolution was a class I was actually excited for, the course sounded interesting and from the looks of ratemyprofessor my teach was gonna be great.
Boy, was I wrong.
I mean, the course just got interesting today, but that's because we actually started talking about evolution. The classes before we talked about the frickin' scientific method and basic biology. Then, at the end of class, we started talking about genetics, which brings us back to biology. Speaking of the end of class, this bastard always goes over the time limit. Like, honestly, the end time is there for a reason, and some people have places to go and things to do. But no, he takes his sweet ass time and loves going 5, 10, and one time he even went 20 minutes over (meaning class ended at 9:40).
Now, I sit in front of a computer screen in my warm apartment in my warm sweats and hoodie. I'm considering pulling an all nighter but most likely won't since I have a night class again tomorrow. Maybe I shouldn't have taken 6 classes this semester haha.
My mind draws a blank now, guess I'm done here.
Please pray to whoever we need to pray to so that the snow will stop. I beg of you.
